What is Silkpeel DermalInfusion?

Microdermabrasion is a noninvasive procedure using mechanical exfoliation to remove the outermost layer of the skin. Dermal Infusion is a highly innovative technology that combines traditional microdermabrasion with the topical delivery of skin-specific solutions. In addition to revealing softer, smoother skin, it enhances collagen production and improves penetration of topical cosmetic products by up to 50%.

Our device

The SilkPeel, uses a diamond tip to abrade the skin surface, while simultaneously vacuuming away sloughed skin cells and delivering a solution to the newly revealed skin layer. This novel technology is regarded as safe because there is no exposure to aluminum and there are no fine particles that could enter the nose or eyes.

Who can be treated?

All skin types can be treated, and the following solutions are used to target specific issues:

Brightening solution (active ingredient: LUMIXYL) – for hyperpigmentation, blotches, uneven skin tone.

Hydrating solution (active ingredient: HYALURONIC ACID) – to moisturize dry skin, thereby reducing the appearance of fine wrinkles.

Vitamin C solution – a strong antioxidant solution used to brighten dull looking skin and protect against photodamage. A great treatment before prolonged exposure to the sun.

Clarifying Elixir (active ingredient: SALICYLIC ACID) – for acne-ridden or acne-prone skin. It unclogs and dries out pores, but also infuses moisture with its component of aloe.

The Procedure

The skin is cleansed beforehand. The procedure takes 30-45 minutes. Immediately afterward, SPF 30 sunscreen is applied prior to leaving the office. There is no downtime following the procedure, one may resume regular activities.  The skin might be slightly pink, like a light sunburn, for the initial period post-treatment.  A subsequent treatment can be scheduled as early as one week following the last.

How many Treatments will I need?

For optimal results, it is recommended to get a series of at least 6 treatments weekly initially, followed by monthly maintenance.  Packages are available for purchase and can be discussed at the time of initial consultation, when trained personnel can properly evaluate the skin, ensure one is a suitable candidate, and propose a treatment plan.
